Description
First Puzzles Flightless Birds is a set of four pull-out shaped puzzles
that introduce children aged 3 and up to four of the world’s most
fascinating birds through hands-on play. Each puzzle is shaped to
the bird’s own outline Ostrich, Emu, Cassowary and Penguin with
piece counts of 4, 5, 6 and 8 that grow progressively harder as children
build confidence.
The pull-out format means children both remove and replace shaped
pieces into a fitted frame, adding a spatial memory challenge that standard
puzzles do not offer.
Parents and teachers choose this set because it combines early nature
awareness with genuine fine motor development and introduces children
to a genuinely surprising category of animals in the process.

HOW CHILDREN LEARN
- A child pulls out the 4-piece Ostrich puzzle first, learning to match
shaped pieces back to their frame before moving to the 8-piece Penguin - The pull-out format adds a second skill layer — children must both
remove and replace pieces correctly, strengthening spatial memory - Studying detailed illustrations of Ostrich, Emu, Cassowary and
Cassowary builds early vocabulary around unusual and fascinating birds - Placing each shaped piece deliberately back into its frame strengthens
fine motor control and pincer grip at a critical developmental stage - Completing each bird puzzle builds genuine confidence and natural
curiosity about why these birds cannot fly
